Mission Statement

St. Boniface is a Roman Catholic Church ministering to the urban Louisville community since 1836. We are a community formed by the word of God, the Sacraments and the tradition of the Church. We strive to be a catalyst for positive change in our neighborhood. St. Boniface is uniquely positioned to serve the needs of the entire community from youth to elders. We put our faith into action through a variety of social outreach programs. In these efforts, we strive to be a refuge for those in need and offer hope to our surrounding community.

Established 1836

Sixth Sunday of Easter
27th of April, 2008

“Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord, and my Father will love him and we will come to him.” John 14:23

Love is revealed in action. Disciples love Jesus by keeping his commandments. Jesus loves his disciples by revealing himself to them. The Father shows love by sending the Spirit to dwell with his disciples always. The fruit of love is intimate relationship with Jesus and the Father. Thus, Jesus assures us we are not alone, we are not orphans. We are the beloved of God. - Living Liturgy™, Sixth Sunday of Easter 2008

Today’s Focus: A Church Growing into Maturity

One of the signs of maturing wisdom is the ability to live with and sustain the tension between conflicting truths and so prevent them from overcoming one another. Though it seems to be an endless tug-of-war, it is also one that is fruitful, a worthwhile tension. - Living the Word: Scriptures Reflections for Sundays and Holy Days, Sixth Sunday of Easter 2008.

Stewardship A Lifetime of Opportunity, Responsibility, Accountability

“…Sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make a defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.” I Peter 3:15

Actions speak louder than words. Let your stewardship be your reply. Stewardship involves a change of heart, embodied not just in a single action, nor even a series of actions, but in a way of living.
