Praise God who is always good; God will always be true! Let Israel shout forever, God will always be true. The right hand of God is our power and lifted high above the nations. I did not die; I am still here to sing of the wonderful gifts of God! The stone rejected has become the cornerstone; believe it or not, this is from God! Our eyes are dazzled by this sight! This day was made by God; let us sing and rejoice forever!

Lord, increase the faith of your people and listen to our prayers. Today we honor Christ our triumphant King by carrying these branches. May we honor you every day by living always in him, for he is Lord forever and ever. Amen

Prayer for 3rd Sunday of Lent

God of all compassion, Father of all goodness, to heal the wounds our sins and selfishness bring upon us you bid us turn to fasting, prayer, and sharing with our brothers. We acknowledge our sinfulness, our guilt is ever before us: when our weaknesses cause discouragement, let your compassion fill us with hope and lead us through a Lent of repentance to the beauty of Easter joy. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Jesus, dear Savior, during these forty days of Lent, I want to fast, to pray, to repent. Above all else, I want to stay in the circle of your love each day. Walk with me, surround me with your light; lead me, guide me, and keep me in your sight. Thank you for your great love and care; may I give witness to it everywhere. In these forty days, help me to follow you, and imitate your love in all I do.

Prayer for 1st Sunday of Lent

Lord, you formed us from the clay of the earth and breathed into us the spirit of life, but we turned from your face and sinned. In this time of repentance we call out for your mercy. Bring us back to you and to the life your Son won for us by his death on the cross, for he lives and reigns for ever and ever.
