 St. Boniface Church, named for the 'Apostle of Germany',
was established in 1836 and is the oldest extant Catholic Church in the city of Louisville.
Although strongly focused on its urban mission to the poor of the city,
good liturgy and music form the basis of weekly worship for this faith community.
With the encouragement of the pastor, Father Timothy Hogan, and under the direction of Willam Lincoln,
organist, the choir in recent years has grown from 4 members to over 16,
and draws singers from all parts of the city.
The idea of producing a Chirstmas CD began with cantor and choir member Monica Smith as a way to showcase the superb sound of the choir, the magnificent church building, our mission to help those in need, and to help equip the music room at the new Nativity Academy at St. Boniface.
